George Clooney and John Malkovich star in latest Nespresso TV spot

It’s daring, amusing and completely unpredictable. Debuting November 6, 2009, the latest TV spot from Nespresso features George Clooney and John Malkovich, as they determine just how far they’re willing to go to indulge in their love of highest quality coffee.

Created by McCann Paris and directed by Robert Rodriguez, the new TV spot features George Clooney on a quest for a stylish new Nespresso machine when a falling piano takes his life. In the next world, he meets a spiritual John Malkovich, who grants him another shot at life on earth in exchange for… what else? His beloved Nespresso coffee machine.

Not only are both men extraordinary actors, they also have a tremendous ability to treat their audiences to moments of relaxation and pleasure. And that, in essence, is what Nespresso is all about—providing highest-quality premium portioned coffee, which has the ability to make an ordinary moment truly extraordinary.”

Le Cunff continued: “In creating this new campaign, we were delighted to work with John Malkovich for the first time. Mr. Malkovich is an actor of the highest calibre, who provides the perfect accompaniment to George Clooney. As a long-time Nespresso Club Member, he is also very knowledgeable about Nespresso Grands Crus. In fact, he has Nespresso machines at his homes in both France and in the United States.”

Nespresso fans will also be delighted to discover a range of additional cinematic moments and bonus material from the three-day filming of the campaign featured on the Nespresso website. For example, the bonus material includes unreleased footage from a scene where Clooney is trying to find alternatives to his Nespresso machine to exchange with Malkovich – such as his car or his house in Como.

The new TV spot will run in Europe and Australia. It will debut beginning on 6th November.
