Paris and Auckland Boutique openings underline on-going growth and innovative personalised service concept

Continued selective expansion of the Nespresso Boutique network and ever increasing innovations in personalised service offerings highlight the on-going double-digit growth of Nespresso. The company confirmed today that with the recent openings of its latest boutiques in Paris and Auckland, it is on track with its plans to extend its retail network beyond 250 boutiques this year. There are currently over 215 boutiques in 150 cities in 40 countries.

"Two events, on opposite sides of the world, tell the story of Nespresso today," said Richard Girardot, CEO of Nespresso. "In Europe, we are developing new and innovative ways to provide increasingly tailored services. The opening in Auckland in New Zealand is part of our strategy of selective geographic expansion to bring the brand to coffee lovers around the world.”


The opening of the Auckland boutique marks the first entry of Nespresso into New Zealand and follows on the extraordinary momentum that the brand has displayed outside its established markets in Western Europe. Today, 15% of overall sales come from outside Europe, a two-fold increase in just two years, with this trend expected to continue.

The Paris-Madeleine boutique, the sixth boutique in the French capital, is the first to be designed with the new Nespresso retail concept in France. Anticipating and exceeding the expectations of our customers is an on-going focus that drives Nespresso in all it does. The new Paris-Madeleine boutique is the next step in the evolution of the customer experience. Customers can interact with Nespresso as they choose, while still savouring the unique Nespresso brand experience for which the boutiques have become renown. For example, the Exclusive Room is dedicated to Nespresso Club Members who are already familiar with the brand and who wish to choose a shopping experience at their own pace. In this new innovative area of the boutique, they can select their preferred Grands Crus and checkout automatically, thanks to RFID technology inserted in the capsule sleeves.
