2013 was another extraordinary year for Nespresso filled with many novelties and activities across our business.
Exceptional new Grands Crus
2013 has marked a year of renewed innovation across the Nespresso coffee range, with new Grands Crus to further shape the category and provide new sensory experiences for Club Members and consumers. We introduced six new coffees expanding our existing permanent range to 21 Grands Crus.
Continuous innovation in machines and services
While the evolution of the Nespresso system and the distinctive design of our machines have been the most visible aspect of this focus, innovation runs through every facet of our business.
- We introduced the Umilk machine with an integrated fresh milk solution for consumers to easily create milk-based coffee recipes.
- Nespresso extended its presence in new and existing markets, reaching more than 327 boutiques in 52 countries worldwide. To name few: San Francisco, Tokyo, Toronto and Los Angeles flagships.
- We launched the Nespresso Cube, an innovated automated retail concept, bringing new exclusive services to consumers.
- The Nespresso Expertise Center opened in Sao Paulo will advance the dialogue on coffee with clients, partners, key opinion leaders and experts from the wider coffee community.
Sustainability at the heart of our business approach
