Nespresso CEO Richard Girardot to be replaced by Jean-Marc Duvoisin

Jean-Marc Duvoisin, Deputy Executive Vice President Human Resources at Nestlé SA, will succeed Richard Girardot as Nespresso CEO on 1 March 2013, while Richard Girardot will succeed Martial Rolland as market head of Nestlé France on 1 April 2013.

A French national, Mr. Girardot joined Nestlé in 1986 and held various positions in Nestlé’s water business in France before taking over global responsibility for Nespresso in 2007.

Under Mr. Girardot’s leadership, Nestlé Nespresso SA has achieved unprecedented growth in an ever-more intensive competitive environment. He has been the driving force behind continuous innovation, not only with the Nespresso Grand Cru range and the machine designs, but also with the creation of new services for the Nespresso Club Members as well as new points of sale and boutique concepts. Simultaneously, Nespresso has accelerated its geographic expansion and has brought to the forefront its significant efforts in sustainability through its Ecolaboration™ platform.

A Swiss national, Mr. Duvoisin joined Nestlé in 1986 and worked in different markets across Latin America before becoming market head of the Colombia, Venezuela and Ecuador region and later Mexico. Mr. Duvoisin’s deep knowledge of the company, his international experience and recognised leadership make him the right candidate to lead the Nespresso expansion, innovation and internationalisation in an increasingly challenging competitive environment.
