As the world turns its eyes to the stars celebrated at the 65th Cannes Film Festival, Nespresso
rolls out its own red carpet to unite lovers of coffee and cinema. For the fifth consecutive year, Nespresso
joins the famous film festival from May 16th to 27th as an Official Partner.
Grand Prix Nespresso at la Semaine de la Critique
Nespresso pays tribute to creative perfection with its Grand Prix Nespresso, awarded for the second year running to the best debut film director at la Semaine de la Critique. Since 1962, this influential festival section showcases first films by new international talents, many of whom go on to make cinematic history, such as Ken Loach, François Ozon and Wong Kar Wei. The Grand Prize trophy will be presented to one of the lucky seven feature films in Competition on May 24th.
An exclusive Plage Nespresso on La Croisette
Not only are new films making a splash at Cannes. This year, Nespresso unveils the first-ever Nespresso beach at the iconic Plage du Festival on La Croisette. With an area covering 45 x 25 metres and a dining capacity of 126, the glamorous Plage Nespresso features two Nespresso bars, an elegant lounge area and a VIP top floor bar boasting a spectacular view of the bay. Club Members, media and festival stars are invited to start their day at an exclusive Plage Nespresso breakfast event, and share memorable moments in-between screenings over a cup of Nespresso Grand Cru coffee.
Three additional Nespresso bars and no less than 225 Nespresso machines will be on site at the festival, serving some 180,000 Nespresso Grand Cru coffees to movie lovers from around the world.
