Nespresso continues its support of cinematic talents in its 8th consecutive year as Official Partner of the 68th Cannes Film Festival

Nespresso continues its exclusive role as Official Partner of the Cannes Film Festival in France for the eighth year running. The 68th edition of this annual festival, one of the most respected and glamorous events in the world of film, runs this year from May 13th to 24th.

Recognising rising directorial talents with Grand Prix Nespresso

For the fifth consecutive year, Nespresso demonstrates its support of emerging artistic talent with the “Grand Prix Nespresso”. Announced at the “La Semaine de la Critique” (International Critics’ Week), this highly prestigious award is awarded to the film director with the best debut or second feature-length film. The influential “Semaine” has helped to launch the careers of great filmmakers. Its international jury has discovered leading names including Jeff Nichols for “Take Shelter” in 2011 and Myroslav Slaboshpytskiy for “The Tribe” last year.

Creating memorable gastronomic experiences at La Plage Nespresso


The exclusive Plage Nespresso also returns to Cannes as one of the most stylish and sought-after locations for dining and relaxation during the festival.

At the Plage Nespresso, festival stars, Nespresso Club Members and accredited journalists are invited to start their day with breakfast and a coffee selected from the range of 23 Nespresso Grands Crus. In between screenings, memorable coffee moments can be savoured at the various bars and lounge areas offering stunning views of the Mediterranean. The upper deck provides room for conferences and interviews.

On select evenings, the Plage Nespresso will host an exclusive dinner series for 60 privileged guests. The gastronomic experience, Les Chefs font leur Cinéma, will be inspired by Nespresso Grands Crus and legendary films that have been awarded at Cannes in the past.

Guests will also have the opportunity to discover two dedicated cocktails using the newest Nespresso Limited Edition Grand Cru Peru Secreto which launches in the same week.

Festival visitors will be able to enjoy their favourite Grand Cru coffees throughout the festival premises, thanks to the availability of 220 Nespresso machines on site. An estimated 200,000 Nespresso Grand Cru coffees will be served during the 12-day festival.
